Wie ist eure Tour bisher? Irgendwelche erwähnenswerten Besonderheiten?
Dan: Die Tour ist super, aber irgendas außergwöhnliches gab es bisher nicht. Wir haben einfach eine gute Zeit. Wir sind hier mit befreundeten Bands und haben Spaß.
Jordan: Wir haben uns heute mit allen die große Kathedrale in Köln angeguckt. Aber wir sind recht entspannt und es ist einfach schön durch Europa zu touren. Alle Shows waren großartig. In Paris haben wir zum ersten Mal auf einem Boot gespielt.

Ihr wart dieses Jahr Vorband von New Found Glory. Wie fühlt es sich jetzt an selber Headliner bei einer Europa-Tour zu sein?
Dan: Es ist wirklich cool. Es ist das zweite Mal das wir in Europa sind nach ein paar Jahren, es hat lang gedauert. Wir haben unsere Freunde von Broadway Calls und Fireworks dabei und es fühlt sich einfach gut an Headliner hier zu sein.

Euer neues Album wurde von Epitaph veröffentlicht. Habt ihr mehr oder weniger künstlerische Freiheit im Gegensatz zu einem kleinen Label?
Dan: Eigentlich können wir machen was wir wollen. Ich denke, dass wir viel mehr Probleme mit unserem letzten, kleineren Label hatten, als jetzt mit dem neuen großen Label.

Was sind die großen Unterschiede zwischen eurem ersten Album Mutiny!, das sehr erfolgreich war, und dem zweiten Album?
Jordan: Ich denke es war einmal der Umstand, dass wir wirklich alle an diesem Album beteiligt waren. Mutiny! war mehr oder weniger von mir und Mickey gemacht, wir haben fertige Songs zusammengepackt. Beim neuen Album war jeder beteiligt, jeder hatte verschiedene Einflüsse. Wir haben viel länger gebraucht, dreimal so lange wie für das erste Album. Und die Tontechniker und alle Leute mit denen wir zusammengearbeitet haben, all das hat zu einem besseren Ergebnis geführt.

Wird nach der Tour ein neues Album erscheinen?
Dan: Das wird auf jeden Fall passieren und es wird schneller gehen als dieses Mal, wir haben schon Ideen dafür. Aber es wird schneller erscheinen als das letzte. Keine Sorge!
Matt:Das ist wahr! Wir hoffen Mitte nächsten Jahres Demoaufnahmen veröffentlichen zu können. Bis dahing werden wir neues Material fertigstellen.

Ich habe gelesen, dass ihr darüber nachgedacht habt euer zweites Album selber ohne Label zu veröffentlichen. Ist das eine Möglichkeit für das nächste Album?
Dan: Nein, wir werden das nächste Album auf jeden Fall mit Epitaph machen weil wir noch bei ihnen unter Vertrag und zufrieden sind.

In Amerika gibt es oft Konzerte so guten Bandpaketen wie heute. Sind die Fans in Europa dankbarer für so ein Konzert bzw. wissen es mehr zu schätzen?
Jordan: Es ist intimer, die Clubs sind kleiner aber immer rappelvoll. Wir genießen es einfach Headliner zu sein, denn so können wir unsere Musik den Leuten näherbringen. Klar, die Tour mit New Found Glory und Four Year Strong war großartig und sie haben uns geholfen eine Menge Fans zu finden. Aber wenn wir als Headliner spielen kommen die Leute eben wegen uns und unserer Musik. Das ist einfach cool.

Ich denke es war ein großer Traum für euch erfolgreich zu werden aber ihr seid fast das ganze Jahr auf Tour. Ist es nicht manchmal auch ein Alptraum weil ihr eure Familien und Freunde nicht sehen könnt?
Jordan: Es ist definitiv der härteste Teil des Traumes, wenn du für 8 oder 9 Monate von zu Hause weggehst. Um in Kontakt zu bleiben ist es wichtig miteinander zu sprechen Handys und das Internet helfen dabei zumindest etwas. Aber da sind auch viele positive Dinge die einen dazu bewegen weiterzumachen und es ist toll Familie und Freunde zu haben die einen dabei unterstützen.

Wenn ihr euch eine Band aussuchen könntet, mit der ihr auf Tour gehen dürftet, wer würde das sein und warum?
Dan: Ich darf verraten, dass wir nächstes Jahr beim Soundwave spielen werden und Faith No More werden auch beim Soundwave in Australien spielen. Und sie sind eine meiner Lieblingsbands überhaupt. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass wir mal mit ihnen spielen würden aber bald werden wir das und das ist verdammt geil! Das ist meine Band die ich aussuchen würde und es wird bald wahr werden! Aber da gibt es so viele Bands mit denenwir gerne mal touren würden.

Heute ist euer letzter Tag in Deutschland. Wir hoffen wir sehen euch bald wieder! Schon Ideen wann das sein könnte?
Jordan: Wir denken Ende nächsten Jahres. Im Sommer werden wir die Warped-Tour und einige Festivals spielen, aber dann wollen wir nochmal nach Europa kommen.

How is the tour so far? Anything extraordinary to mention?
Dan: Tour has been fun, but nothing extraordinary. It´s just having a good time. We are here with friends-bands, so we have fun.
Jordan: We guys going out today to see the big cathedral here in cologne, got to check this out. But yes, we are pretty mellow so far, but that´s pretty good for us, it´s just a kind of take it easy to across europe. All the shows have been great. First show ever we play on a boat in Paris.

You supported New Found Glory this year. How does it feel to be headliner on your own europe tour?
Jordan: It´s realy cool. This is our second time in europe after a couple of years, it had been a long time of coming I think. We got our friends with us Broadway Calls and Fireworks. It feels good to be headling over here.

Your new album was released on Epitaph. Do you have more or less artistic freedom in contrast to a smaller label?
Dan: We generally can do what we want. I mean there were actually a lot more problems with our last smaller label, than there are with our new bigger label.

What are the important differences from the first album Mutiny!, which was very succesfull, to the second one?
Jordan: I think it was a fact that we were all involved in this one. Mutiny! was more or less made by myself and Mickey and we just puting songs together. At the new one each of the member was there, everyone has different inputs. We spent a lot more time on it. We had three times the length that we did the first record. And the engenering, the people we got to work with, it was all this together that made this a much better experience.

After touring, will there be time for a new record?
Dan: It will happen, and it will happen a lot quicker than this new one did, so there are ideas flowing around. But it will definitely come a lot quicker than the new one did. Don´t worry about that.
Jordan: That´s very true. We hope to have anything be released on a demo next year, maybe early year or middle of the year. Till this time we will get some stuff ready to go.

In America there are often shows with such a great band package. Are the fans in europe are more thankful to get a show like this?
Jordan: It´s more intimate, the vanues are smaller but they get packed out like realy well. We just enjoy headling beacause we can bring out music that we want to show the people. But we got a great tour here with New Found Glory and Four Year Strong they helped us to pick up new fans here. But when we are headliner the people come to see, what we bring out. That´s pretty cool.

I think it was a big dream for you to become as succesfull, as you´re now but you´re on tour almost all year. Is it sometimes a nightmare for you because you can´t see your families and friends?
Jordan: It´s definitely the hardest part of the dream, when you gone from home for eight or nine month. For keeping in touch it´s very important to have communication and things like the internet or mobile phones. But there are so many positive things that keep you moving but it´s good to have families and friends who support this.

If you can choose one band to go on tour with, who would it be and why?
Dan: I can say we will doing soundwave and Faith No More will be on Soundwave on Australia next year. And they are one of my favourites bands ever . I never thought we will touring with them, but we will do and that´s fucking awesome. So that´s my band to pick and it´s actually coming true. But we all have so many bands we want to go on tour with.

Today is your last day in Germany. We hope you come back soon! Any ideas when this will happen?
Jordan: We think about the end of the next year. In the summer we will play Warped-Tour and Festivals but then we want to come back to europe!
